With Thanksgiving around the corner, we wanted to build on our previous post about seeing healthy and nutrition that is beneficial to your eyes. Since we love food, and we assume you do too, we compiled a few recipes that contain ingredients that benefit your eyes.
Carrots contain beta-carotene which, when taken in combination with zinc and vitamins C and E, may reduce the progression of macular degeneration.
Bioflavonoids may protect against cataracts and macular degeneration, and can be found in blueberries. This also include red wine, so drink up.
Kale is the 'it' food right now so we had to include it. Lutein and zeaxanthin both are present in Kale (as well as spinach and squash too) and may help prevent cataracts and macular degeneration.
You can't have Thanksgiving with the turkey. Luckily, turkey contains zinc, which may help reduce the risk of night blindness.
